Time is flying. Getting ready for the Chinese New Year. Quick Update here:
1. Today I Went Down Some Spooky Stairs: Photo Essay, just went over 16,000 views, today. That makes it my All Time most popular blog post. Hmm. Should I be a ghost writer ?
2. Yesterday, I began what I hope becomes a long and popular series of Then and Now photos, using a photographer's black and white film photos from the 1960's alongside color photos taken at the same location in Okinawa these days. See: Then and Now Todoroki Waterfall
3. The winners of the 750,000 views contest have been announced, their photos selected, printed, and autographed with my silver pen.
4. Prizes will be mailed as soon as my back quits hurting from slipping down the banks of the waterfall.
DEC 13, 2011:
A quick update on activities around here, so far, this month:
1. The view meter hit 750,000. I'm waiting for a few things before I can announce the winners.
2. Yesterday a new page was created, Redneck Stuff. Check it out and see if you like it.
3. The traffic I have gotten on flower posts this past year gave me the idea to start a Trees, Flowers, Ferns Page. The month of September, festivals, not flowers, must have been my priority. Please remind me next year to shoot more trees ferns, fruits and flowers. Your suggestions, advice and/or complaints are always welcome!
NOV 25, 2011:
Some cool things have happened during the month of November:
1. A guru-friend in web design fixed my Facebook Fan Badge. It's at the top of the page and all jazzed up. To LIKE Mike's Ryukyu Gallery all anyone has to do is press the button on my blog, without having to go over on the Facebook Page to become a follower. I like that !
2. That led to, among other things, a big jump in Facebook Likes. Over 1,000 new Fans this month.
3. The number of page views on the blog's view meter is nearing the 3/4 million mark so, I've announced a giveaway contest to celebrate that occasion, whenever it happens.
4. A wild and crazy guy named Ryan, who probably has the most popular blog in Scotland, mentioned me, which led to an increase in wild and crazy visitors from that side of the ocean on this site. Maybe, someday we'll all get together for some beers ! Thanks, Ryan.
Here are a few changes I've made to my website Photo Gallery. The popularity of flowers with viewers has convinced me I needed to do some re-organization. I'll continue to update this page and the website based upon the demands of my audience. Thank you for your support.

A FEW DAYS AGO, I STARTED-UP A PAGE CALLED THE DOOZIES, it's a combination of what was formerly known as RANTS and HUMOR, SUNDAY'S SILLY SIGNS and WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE?
